Carbon neutrality has become the focus of national attention, and offsetting the carbon dioxide or greenhouse gas emissions generated by oneself through energy conservation and emission reduction has become a top priority for enterprises, achieving relative "zero emissions". Ceramic enterprises have also received much attention.

In order to actively respond to the national policy of "carbon reduction, carbon neutrality", Hualian Porcelain Industry has formulated the group's sustainable development strategy and green and low-carbon action plan as early as 2016. Currently, it has completed three phases of distributed photovoltaic power generation projects on the roofs of workshops in three factory areas of the group, with a total area of over 40000 square meters, a total installed capacity of 5.99 MW, and an annual total power generation capacity of 5.5 million kWh, reducing carbon emissions by 3211 tons.

In addition to utilizing photovoltaic power generation to reduce carbon dioxide emissions, Hualian Porcelain also comprehensively utilizes kiln waste heat. The main principle is that a large amount of waste heat is generated during the ceramic firing process, and a large amount of heat is required during the ceramic drying process. Therefore, Hualian Porcelain has created a waste heat utilization system by transforming the production workshop into a waste heat utilization system. Guiding the waste heat of the kiln to the renovated drying room and chain dryer can not only save the electricity and gas consumption generated by the chain dryer and drying room, but also reduce the heat generated by the kiln to be discharged, ultimately achieving the effect of energy conservation and emission reduction.

Energy conservation and emission reduction has always been the focus of the group. Hualian Porcelain Industry will establish a carbon reduction plan, develop green energy, green processes, and green products, create green factories, explore new dividend space, and build green, low-carbon, and sustainable development capabilities in the new era.
